MSN Messenger Question......

i need to create a MSN Messenger account to chat with my college classmates, but wanted to know if i can create a MSN account with any email address, for example my domain name email, or a Gmail email...?

is there an advantage to creating an MSN account with a Hotmail email , over my domain name email ??? any help is appreciated..... ; )

I don't think there is any particular advantage to using a hotmail email address to sign up for MSN versus any other provider. It's all the same.

I have never had a hotmail account and use another for MSN, there is no reason to setup a hotmail account for it. (PS use aMSN or Adium as they are a lot better than MSN Messenger for Mac)

Funny, i tried to Authenticate my domain name email with Adium, and it replied that my email address was not valid.... ? strange........

I believe that you can chat with MSN Messenger clients also via Yahoo Messenger. I don't know if this is helpful, just a thought... Check it out:

try .net passport

Microsoft have something called net passport that allows you to use MSN chat with any other email, I used it in the past with the previous MSN version, now that they have the live thing I am not sure how it is, just give it a try:
