According to Slashdot, the codec used by MSN Messenger for webcam conversations have been reverse engineered by Ole André Vadla Ravnås, of the FarSight project, and released as an open source library.
Hopefully the GAIM folks will pick this up, so it'll eventually end up in Adium through libgaim (or maybe they'll just do it themselves).
