Did anyone else find MSN Messenger after installing Safari 3 Beta to crash more then usual?

Like I would do expose between my applications and it would crash. Did anyone else experience this? I just want to know because when this started I just downloaded Audium and I like it more 😛

Thanks,
- Barret

Yes, I did ... As a matter of fact i registered just to post this problem ... Safari 3 must clash with the Messenger because as soon as i unistalled Safari 3 everything was ok with the Messenger 😡 I hope Microsoft or Apple fix this problem soon ...

msn messener isnt UB yet...still powerpc. kuld that be why??

it is universal and has been for a long time (microsoft messenger 6.0.2) but even before safari 3.0 adium has always had a better connection than msn messenger. i remember my brother using msn messenger and he couldn't connect to the server a few seconds later he downloaded adium and it connected to the server instantly! i was being sarcastic by the way...

It's been ongoing for me too if I close a conversation window, it's very unstable.

I'm downgrading Safari tonight

It is definitly a flaky beta. I just removed it last night.

Way too many issues with random sites crashing Safari and random sites appearing strangely.

Hopefully a fix soon!

The DMG file you downloaded to install Safari includes an uninstaller

thanks for this. my msn was playing up too but now i've downgraded it's fine again.

i tried using adium, it's pretty cool but i couldn't get what i was listening to on itunes to show up, even when i'd enabled the option...so i switched back. bit of a shame really, i liked it apart from that!

mine crashed way more, it crashed when i'd selected text in a conversation window or quit it

now using mercury, which is far far better

Looks like the 3.0.1 update was only for Windows, I'll live without the new search feature, then again I mainly use Firefox
