MTV Overdrive

It doesn't work with Windows Firefox either... so its an IE only-type thing I guess.

Which means I doubt it will work on a Mac... its not that great though.
 
The reason it does not work on a mac is because mtv overdrive requires windows media content protection and the windows media player for the mac does not have this.
 
Its sponsored by Microsoft so Id expect it not to work on a Mac... Which sorta pisses me off a little bit. (Nah its MTV)
 
yea and what makes me furious about this is that theres no way i am going to guy buy windblows just because the content is windblows compatible.
 
Anybody know if Flip4Mac will be updating it's plugin to support this? I mean Windows bought Flip4Mac WMV plugin and now have it on their own site. But really they should update it so that it can play this.

Thanks for the heads-up. MTV's target audience (i.e. college students, teenagers) are converting to the Mac, so it's about time they added Mac support.

As yet, Telestream don't have permission to license the DRM.

(Although Microsoft offer Flip4Mac for download, they don't own Telestream.)

MTV used to decorate their TRL set with Power Mac G4 Cubes! They still have one in the green room, very cool.

Gates paid them a lot to do a show dedicated to him, too, about how he saw technology affecting the youth, the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
