Sounds like a good one to me. I would say the iBooks are the better deal at the moment, but only because the PowerBooks need an update. If you can afford to wait until then, it sounds like a good plan. If they don't get updated you can always buy whatever you want, and know you still got a very nice laptop indeed. :)
 
Does anyone know of a good setup for a resell? If I get impatient come end of August, I may get an ibook and then sell it when the powerbooks are updated...that is if I don't get attached to the ibook (which i'm already starting to do! :p )
 
*sigh* I really should stop torturing myself, but what can I say; I'm a masochist. For those of you who say that the ibook is the better deal, do you feel this way because it has a better price tag? What would be the best laptop if money was no object?
 
If you can afford the 12" PowerBook, go for it.

Then add an HD quality display when your budget permits.

Then when you graduate, hit your parents up for a new dual core
PowerMac and you'll have the perfect Pro set-up
