Hi, Ive got an ipad 2 on order from apple and when arrives i plan on enabling the Multi Touch Gestures on a friends mac.

If somewhere later down the line there is a problem with my ipad and i take it to a store to talk to a genius, will they start asking questions about why they are enabled and if i am a developer

Thanks

Nope as it's nothing bad, anyone can be a dev and anyone can install Xcode. If ur scared u can always restore iPad and it takes the "dev" tag off it, but I wouldn't worry about it at all

noone will mind

it's not a jailbreak, it's just like enabling the 'develop' menu option in Safari, etc.

Or save that $5 for something else and sign up for the free developer program at apple.com/developer and download xcode3 for free.

If all you're using it for is enabling gestures, why spend $5 you don't have to?

thats why I did, I didn't pay the $5.
