Am I taking crazy pills or is this a possibility in the next revision? Apple has already laid the groundwork by redesigning iLife for multitouch. Is it possible that the full fledged apple tablet that some people wanted will simply be the Macbook pro touch? This wouldn't step on the feet of the ipad market because the price would be too high. Plus the people that wanted the powerhouse tablet will fork over the cash (even if they already have a mbp). Or am i just drinking the :apple: kool-aid?

i think that is the point of the iPad. MacBooks have multitouch trackpads already and Apple doesnt want to put multitouch displays on MacBooks. the iPad fills the gap between the iPhone and MacBook, all have multitouch of their own.

I'd go crazy if I had a touchscreen laptop...I couldn't deal with the fingerprints/smudging. Can't really see the advantage when the trackpad is already multitouch with expandable gestures via something like BetterTouchTool.

There are already dozens of multitouch notebooks out there.
check this for example:

I have absolutely no need for any of them.
I'm much much MUCH faster using a keyboard. I also don't use the mouse or a trackpad or anything else very often.
