Multi-user Photos Replacement

I'm utterly sick of Photos on OS X.

All I want is to be able to import photos to a library, occasionally minor edits but mostly just keeping, organising and viewing. I need that my girlfriend can also do this.

What other options on OS X are there that can provide this?

If you want to keep your photos separate from each other, in Lightroom each of you use a separate catalog for each user. But remember that from Adobe's perspective.....that is only one owner of the software license.
