Multicam om M1 Macbook FCP

can someone clarify how Final Cut Pro is performing on multicam om the new M1 chips? Is it fast?

Not as fast as I expected.
I had to use proxy’s to be able to fast forward smoothly, with 2 4K, 8 bit, 1 hour clips.

what macbook or mini do you have was? Was it a dissapointment? I ask the question as I am considering buying a macbook Pro and I have to deal with a lot of multicam.

when you use proxy, is it then smooth?

What kind of Multicam?
2 tracks of 1080p H.264 footage or 6 tracks of 4K H.265 footage? Or something in between?
