Do they work on a plain macbook? Or does it only work on the new macbook pros and the airs?

I'm pretty sure you need multitouch hardware in the trackpad which the standard MacBook doesn't have.

KK, I wasn't entirely sure since the sites hosting the download didn't mention the hardware requirements,
