Multifunction Printer with Airport Express

I've set a wireless network and connected my multifunction printer in an AirPort Express. I can access it from my computer to print, but the scanner utility doesn't recognise it. What could be wrong?

AFAIK, the scanning features require USB.

Hm... so I can't scan wirelessly??? Shoes...

I'm not definitely sure, ... I've only read about this. I have a HP printer-scanner-copier coming in the mail sometime this week, so I'll try. But everything I've read says it only prints through the Airports. 😕

As far as I know, Airport will only support printing, not scanning. Some newer printers will print/scan via bluetooth. Maybe that would help?
