Hi

It is possible to connect lets say 3 macs and divide the processing load between the? Like a render farm but with every application, not only one in specific.

I work with 3D video and I have seted up my renderfarm for my 3D application, but I would like to have that speed all the time like with the super computers networks. I believe by this time in technology something has to eb around to do the job already, no?

Thanx

Many (is it unfair to say most?) apps these days have a tough time making use of more than two cores or CPUs let alone making use of multiple systems. So I don't think there is a magic bullet that enables some form of grid computing for all/any application. It would be great if there was though!

Unless the application has been written to be Xgrid aware, or has some specific node delegation built in (as e.g. Logic) then I don't think you can do it, except for maybe triggering scripts that would run the same tasks on multiple machines, and divide workload up that way.
