Hello - I have an iPhone and iPad which prior to iCloud and I have two apple ID accounts. I use one account more than the other. I recently read that you can only associate a device with a different iCloud account every 90 days. Currently my devices are both connected to appleID.1, which I use more often, but I want to switch to appleID.2 and download a few apps. Does anyone know if I log in to appleID.2 whether it will also move me to the a new iCloud account, such that I won't be able to switch back to applyID.1for 90 days? A separate question could be is it possible to log a device into a new appleID, but not associate that device with the iCloud so that you can easily switch back?

iCloud, iMessage and the Store can all use different Apple IDs, at least they can currently.

Can't you authorize the apps from the smaller account on your computer and then sync them that way instead so you don't have to worry about it in th first place?

I'll give it a try on the computer and see if that works.

The current Terms and Conditions state that you can only affiliate a device with an iCloud account every 90 days. If that's true it means that by switching accounts on your iPhone, for instance, you would be prohibited from switching to any other account for 90 days. My concern is I don't want to try and then get stuck...

Only for music and TV Shows

The 90 day single account per device is only for iTunes store music and TV shows downloads (TV Shows have just been added). The App store has different rules currently and you can log in with several accounts and download previously bought apps from all of them on one device
