hello !

first of all please excuse my english, its not my first language...

i have a couple questions regarding my apple products. i didnt want to start multiple threads so i am just gonna post all of them here.

1.) i was never able to log in to my wifi, or any wifi from my 2011 mbp efi/bios grey start screen and i could never figure out why. until today. apparently the firmware doesnt recognize the correct region/ language of the mbp's keyboard and so it uses the default US keyboard layout. and because the users input (the keystrokes) is masked by default i could never see that its the wrong keyboard layout thats causing it to decline my wifi password.
so my question is: is this a bug ? did something go wrong at the EFI upgrading/flashing stage years ago ? was apple really too lazy to create different /region language firmwares so that they created only one for all markets ? (US english)

2.) the display of my newly purchased ipad4 has a strong yellow tint.
how do i know if its just the old "glue not being completely dry" - issue or if its a problem with the screen itself ? ive had it for over a week now and whites are still pretty yellow.

3.) i just bought a new time capsule, and theres something wrong with the LED.
after plugging it in for the first time the indicator LED was completely dark, couple hours later it showed the green light almost annoingly bright. strange thing is, it doesn't stay that way, sometimes its very dim and almost impossible to see (the green light), sometimes its superbright, and sometimes theres no light at all ! other than that the unit works fine as far as i can tell. no network or hard drive/timemachine issues with it so far.
is there some ambient light sensing going on thats causing the LED to randomly change brightness or turn off completely ? or is my unit faulty and should i return it because of that ?

4.) i used internet recovery on my 2011 mbp today to reinstall osx on my machine. but after it downloaded setup it only gave me the option to install lion, not mountain lion!? even though i bought ML on day 1 and have been using it ever since. what could be the issue here ?

thanks in advance.

Your English is better than mine. And English is my ONLY language

I'll try to answer what I'm able to:

2.) the display of my newly purchased ipad4 has a strong yellow tint.
how do i know if its just the old "glue not being completely dry" - issue or if its a problem with the screen itself ? ive had it for over a week now and whites are still pretty yellow.

You have 14 days to return it. If you feel it's still as yellow as the day you bought it, I'd return it, and get a new one.

4.) i used internet recovery on my 2011 mbp today to reinstall osx on my machine. but after it downloaded setup it only gave me the option to install lion, not mountain lion!? even though i bought ML on day 1 and have been using it ever since. what could be the issue here ?

When you bought your system, OS X Lion was the most recent version. That is the version that will be "restored" when you use the Internet Recovery feature. You have two options to get to OS X Mountain Lion:

  1. Install Mountain Lion through the App Store, after you've completed the Internet Recovery to get Lion installed.
  2. Download Mountain Lion through the App Store, after you've completed the Internet Recovery to get Lion installed, and then create a bootable USB flash drive from it, that you can then use to do a fresh install of Mountain Lion on your system. There are several websites out there that step you through this process. Here's one, and here's another.
