I have some multipel question regarding the Apple TV, since i can't find a mp4 to avi converter that works well enough, i've decided that maybe an apple tv is the way to go(I think i'm coming close to overloading my comps hard drive, so i wanna remove it), plus i can watch my iPod purchases as well(I mainly watch mp4s my friend gives me)

    1. I'm probably gonna get the 40GB model. Does it sync everythin i have checked ala iPod, or does it take in everything? If the second option, what happens if my library is over 40GB?

    2. Is it easy to sync an apple TV? compated to a Video iPod, is it faster, longer, or about the same

    3. When i play music on it, does the sreen move so the image does not get burned on my tv?

I think this is all the questions i have for now

    1. It syncs only what you have checked to sync, exactly like how you choose what goes on an iPod. Don't forget that you can still stream stuff from the same computer you have it setup to sync with, so even if it's not on the AppleTV's HD, you can still watch it.

    2. In my case, compared to a video iPod, it took a lot longer to sync the AppleTV (the first time). The speed of your wireless network is slower than the speed of a USB cable. However, other than it taking longer, syncing an AppleTV isn't any different than syncing an iPod, so I wouldn't say it was any harder or easier.

    3. When you play music, for the first minute or two, it'll put the song info on one side of the screen, and album art on the other side. Then it'll flip the screen, so the album art goes to the other side, and the song info the other. After a few more minutes, the screen saver comes on (which I think by default is your photos). You shouldn't have to worry about burn in. :)

It does run hot, but I don't really care about that.

As for turning it off, you can shut it down with the remote.
