Hello,

I had bought a Mid 2012 RMBP from London, with Apple care protection plan.
Had come down to India, the mac was working fine, but last year around May, had come issue with the screen. i could see last opened image even after closing it. (I guess it's called Ghosting). I contacted Apple Care India they fixed the same by replacing the Screen for the RMBP.

Unfortunately, now the Extended warrantee has expired and now just today I see multiple blue/ Violet dots on left side 1/4th part of the screen. I've attached an Image to get an idea how it looks. It's really disturbing to work now.

How can I resolve this? If I go to Apple store will they fix this without any charge?

Help would be appreciated. :)

If it was bought from Apple UK then apple UK might still cover it under 'eu consumer law', but I would expect it would have to be serviced in the UK for that to be possible.

Thank you Mnowell69,
They said, their work is guaranteed just for 3 months.

Thank you iMacDragon,
I know, if in UK, they would've fixed it without any charge and people at Genius Bar understand and are kind.
That's not the case in India though, service here is really bad.

I had similiar problem but on my MBP 15 mid 2012. I have an Apple Store in my country and the problem showed 1 month after guarantee went out (didn't buy AppleCare+). If an Apple product is due for service and it's bought in a certain country, check what the consumer law is. I think UK has 6 years if there are any "internal damages" since purchase aka something the user couldn't have affected bur is rather a production issue, is then legiable for service for free.
