Is it possible to use multiple Bluetooth radios under Mac OS X - e.g. the internal Apple one, and an external USB one?

This is on a Mac Pro.
 
It might be but I'd not be surprised if this confused the system. Why would you want to? It's not like you can't connect multiple devices to a single one...

I am using VMWare Fusion - I need to connect a Bluetooth device to the virtual machine, but my keyboard and mouse are Bluetooth, and when I link the virtual machine with the built-in Bluetooth device, they both stop working.

If I could get the system to work properly with a second Bluetooth device, then I could use _that_ for VMWare.
