Is it possible to install two cable modems on the same line? I have a guest house that is about 300 feet away from the main house and I would like to also have highspeed internet installed.

I already have Road Runner service in the main house. Would it be possibe to purchase an additional cable modem at best buy?

I have tried using my airport express, but the signal will not reach the guest house.

Any ideas?

Since a cable is going to have to go out there anyway, you might as well lay down some Ethernet cable.

What is the longest range router on the market.

I believe you can get directional antennas for the router, which will send a strong signal in one direction, ie, in the direction of the guest house.. fraid I"m not too sure about it, though, but it might be worth looking into.

cable is already installed in the suite

SO you have cable, as in cable TV, in both the main house & the guest suite,
or are you saying the suite is already wired with ethernet jacks ?

You could hook in another cable moden out there, however almost ALL of the ISP's would consider that as a second account.
