I did a google on this question, and the only comments I found were from 2007. A lot has changed since then.

Can anyone please advise how to merge all these (5) calendars into a single calendar ? I don't need all these calendars, and they just confuse things.

Thanks for your help.

Enable iCloud on your devices. Make sure you aren't using Google Sync. And make sure your Calendar isn't setup in iTunes to sync. Once I did that, my duplicates entries went away.

You might try (before setting up iCloud) doing File>Export and exporting the calendars. Then pick one to be the master, then File>Import. Then delete the other ones. Then enable iCloud and it will upload everything and sync from now on.

I was able to export all of the calendars to a folder on my desktop, then delete the calendars under iCal. Then I created a new calendar, named it, and imported all of the exports (one at a time) back from the folder on my desktop to the new calendar I had created under iCal.

That worked. :D

Thanks for your comments and suggestions.
