I know there are threads on individual cases but I’ve had issues with multiple cases where corners are popping out:

Apple silicone, leather

Bullstrap

Mujjo

Anyone else have similar experience?

The only reliable case so far has been Nomad- bought on sale for half the price of the above.
I was really excited about my nomad, but mine had a ridge along the side below the power button. It was just prominent and sharp enough to scratch against my fingers when holding it. I contacted them but didn’t hear anything back until after I’d returned it. Understandably, perhaps, as it’s the holiday season, but c’est la vie.

Oh no. The Mujjo corners pop too? I returned my Apple leather case and got a Mujjo just because of that issue. Just put the Mujjo on yesterday, but haven’t put it in my pocket and walked around with it yet.

After trying the Apple silicone and leather cases I gave Mujjo a shot. several days of usage resulted in a corner popping out. Gave up and returned it, tried Bullstrap afterwards.

My tan Mujjo has not popped off my 12 once. Nor has my rugged nomad. The only case that popped off was the official saddle brown apple leather case which I returned. My apple silicone case fit perfectly as well. I just don’t use it.

I’ve read others have had similar experiences. I guess that’s who tried so many cases, so far Nomad is the only useful case

Well, my Mujjo got a really good test when I walked for 2 miles in tightish jeans yesterday, and no corners popped off. The Apple leather case corners would have popped off within 2 minutes.

I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max and have been using the Apple Silicon. After about a week, I love it with no issues.

It has been said many times, but the corners only pop off if you put it in your pocket screen facing out, or in some cases when the phone falls and lands screen side down.
And? I put my phone in my pocket with the screen facing out. As I stated, I have no issues with the case popping off.

I have seen the I have no issues posts, sadly that’s not me. I even carried phone with screen facing in. To bad because I really liked the Apple leather cases.

Three different colors of Apple leather cases, one Apple silicone case, two Burkley cases in different colors and a UAG Monarch case. I don’t have any problems with any of them. I also sometimes carry the phone in my pocket with the screen facing out and still no problems.
Edit: the phone is the Pro Max.

Well, out of the hundreds or even thousands of comments I’ve read on this issue, you’re literally the first person I’ve seen say they put their phone in their pocket screen facing out and haven’t had the corners pop off. I’m guessing you only wear loose clothing? Meanwhile, I’ve seen dozens of people state that they’ve tried multiple replacements and all do it, so either you got extremely lucky or something is different (how loose or stretchy your pants are or how you put the phone in your pocket).

I don't wear skinny jeans, no, but I do wear slim jeans; surely not "loose." I have friends who have not complained of the issue either. Maybe I am lucky...you also have to consider that this is an Internet forum and then considering the populace on Earth that use iPhones and the Apple cases, the population here with issues is pretty small.

I think it mostly only affects people who put their phone in their pocket screen facing out, which I would guess the majority of people do not, so to see the number of posts I've seen about this issue, I think it's a real issue for a decent percentage of cases. There's no denying that the cases this year have almost no lip wrapping around the front of the phone to hold the corners on, so they are relying on friction alone. Also, the leather cases this year are much more flimsy and flexible than leather cases from previous years. I can bend one corner so that it's completely off of the phone while the other three corners are still on the phone. That was practically impossible with the leather case for my iPhone X. I think it's just a flawed design. They should have either made it more rigid or should have put a little lip that wrapped over the metal frame. Even if the corners don't come off for you in your pocket, are you not worried about what will happen if you drop it face down? Since it's only held by friction, the phone will pop out of the case if it hits the ground the right way. I looked up iPhone 12 leather case drop tests on YouTube and only found one, and sure enough, the phone popped out in one corner on one of the drops. The guy was lucky and his screen didn't break on that drop, but it easily could have. I do like the look and feel of the leather cases, so I'm probably going to use one, but I think I'm going to have to glue the corners in.

Zero popouts with Rugged Shield. The rare ones I’ve gotten with that style of case were 6/7/8 with rounded edges.

I dropped my 12 mini which was in the Apple leather case onto concrete from about 3 feet. Two of the corners of the phone popped out of the leather case and although the glass did not crack, I did end up with 2 small dents on the aluminum sides. Something to consider with the Apple 12 cases, if the front hits with enough force the corners can pop out for sure.
