I was wondering how many displays the A1226 MacBook Pro 15" 2.2Ghz C2D w/ 4GB of ram and the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 128 MB video card. I would like to run 2 Dell P2210's with my laptop "docked" or just completely closed not running the laptop display at all. Is this possible, or does the 128MB limit to one external display? If this is possible is there a certain cord I have to use to accomplish this, I would like to go straight through DVI.
Thanks, I searched for this but only found threads about the new MBPs

You cannot connect two monitors to your laptop unless you get a USB video adapter but they don't work that well. As for the the video card, yes it will be a limitation. You should be able to run one display without an issue though.

Yes, I am currently running 1 Dell P2210 as an external and was just hoping that I could just not use the physical monitor and use 2 externals instead. I may give it a try may not. Thanks
