multiple dvi+usb switcher?

i have a PC at home and i would like to dock the MBP when needed to my monitor,

i want to have a switch device that can let me easily switch over my wired keyboard + mouse and also the DVI port for my monitor...

Just search online for a KVM switch. That's designed for exactly what you want.

do i have to worry about resolutions?

my monitor is 1920x1200 and i want to use the full resolution when i switch to my 13" mbp
