Hey all. I have recently started using Google Notifier with a simple hack so I can run multiple instances of it for my two accounts. Sadly, I have just noticed a slight problem with this. The hacked instance I am running my secondary account under doesn't retain my username and password like the unedited instance. I checked the keychain and found only the unedited app (under CFBundleIdentifier com.google.GoogleNotifier) listed.

I'm rather confused about this and would like to figure out a way to have each instance retain its own password. Anyone here think they can help me out?

If you don't know how to fix this issue, I'd like to know your recommendation of a gmail notifier that does handle multiple accounts. I don't want to keep Thunderbird open all the time just to know if I get new emails (slight waste of system resources).

Keychain can't distinguish between com.google.GoogleNotifier and com.google.GoogleNotifier. It will only retain one password per app. I have multiple Gmail accounts, as well. I use Notifier for the most active one and the rest are checked by Mail, which I leave running. It works great.

I get how keychain can only have one password per com.google.GoolgeNotifier. but I changed the CFBundleIdentifier to com.google.GoogleNotifier2 so they have different IDs. They are viewed as two different apps by OS X. Check out the link in my first post about hack to see what I mean.
