Hey all, I just set an extra monitor in my workspace for my macbook pro. I was wondering if there was any way that I could specify certain programs to always open up in my second display.

Apps will always remember which monitor they were last open on, so if you open up an app, drag it to the other monitor and close it then it will always open on that monitor in the future.

Hmm, this doesn't appear to be true. I consistently have this problem with Finder. I'll open Finder with my external monitor turned off and it always opens in my external monitor. I'll then have to turn the monitor on. When I drag the Finder window into my main MBP monitor, close it, and reopen it, it always reopens in my external display.

I am also looking for a solution to this. It is easy to have a program open in a particular space always, but not in a particular monitor. In particular, I have an external monitor connected to my macbook pro. I would like finder to always open on the macbook pro screen rather than on the external monitor regardless of which space I am in.
