Lots of people have ordered more than one Apple Watch to see which one ships first. Their intention is to cancel the remaining one (or ones in some cases).

Does it not make sense for everyone to just cancel those extra orders as they could be delaying the Watches for EVERYONE?

If Apple think they have 10 million pre-orders but really the customers have doubled up and there are only 5 million then surely a lot more people will get there watches sooner...

Just a thought.

Or maybe we're helping out future customers by causing Apple to actually have a readily supply of watches.

Very true. No denying that they should have delayed until the supply was sufficient.

this exactly. They didn't have enough for 1 hour of sales. And not staggering the launches by countries; this is why companies do this. I'd love to understand their thought process on this. They must've though sales would be MUCH lower.
