Hello,

I am thinking of buying the mid-priced MacBook, and later a wireless apple keyboard and mouse. I am going to use a KVM switch to switch my keyboard, video and mouse (obviously) between my docked MacBook and my dual-boot Linux/Windows box. This all seems relatively easy with a PS/2 or USB keyboard and mouse, however with the wireless apple keyboard (using bluetooth) would I be able to switch between systems using it or could I pair to both systems at once? This all makes things more confusing so I might end up just buying the wired version, but will that work with a standard USB KVM?

Thanks,
Ben

First wireless and a KVM switch could mean some headaches. But you would first need to turn off the bluetooth that is part of the Macbook and instead use a USB bluetooth adapter. Then you would have to hope when using the KVM switch that the computer being switched to automatically sees and mounts the bluetooth adapter then searches for bluetooth devices. After which it would ask for confirmation of devices found assuming this all worked.

When it comes to a KVM switch I would either just go wired or keep an extra BT keyboard and mouse and just switch them out when you flip the KVM's switch.
