Can Lion Server do this, or does this even require Server? Or can Macs ever do this, period?

I want an always-on Mac with multiple user logins that are accessed remotely via VNC from other apples devices (MacBooks, iPads, etc). And I need this Mac to allow multiple remote users to log into their accounts simultanously and run applications, etc., each viewing their own desktop simultaneously.

What I do not want is for the Mac to enforce only one active user at a time, visibly controlling the screen it's connected to.

It kinda works now, on the base Lion install. The problem is that there are some major bugs in Lion's implementation of VNC. Wait until those issues are resolved before attempting to work with multiple users.

If you are connecting (via screen sharing) from other Macs, you can successfully have multiple users logged in and working at the same time.
