I have an issue that I have not seen addressed anywhere: how can I share a drive using Time Capsule AND have the multiple users accessing that shared drive all access the Time Machine backups of that shared drive.

Note: I am NOT asking how multiple users can each create individual backups to a TC or shared drive. I am asking how multiple users, all accessing a specific shared drive (let's call it DriveX), can have access to the Time Machine backups of DriveX.

Because if you want users to be able to access the shared files on DriveX, it stands to reason you'd want them to be able to access the backups of those files.

Right?

But I can't find any solution, or even a discussion, or anyone else asking this question.

Why not connect Drive X to the TC instead of a to a single computer, where the permissions are creating the problems you have. There may be a way to adjust the backup permissions, but the default is certainly that only the drive "owner" can see the backup. (And I'm not sure why one generally would want it otherwise--the backups are just that)
