I have a copy of Microsoft office that I installed on both my laptop and desktop. However, If im using Microsoft office on my laptop, and my sister turns it on on the desktop, its kicks me off. Even though I was using it first. Can something be changed so that I have priority, or so that I wont be the one getting kicked off, even though I was using it first?

The strange thing is that if my sister is using Office on the desktop, and I then turn it on the laptop, instead of kicking her off ( like it does to me) it just wont let me access it..

Sorry if this is confusing, but is there anyway I can have priority or...im not really sure how this works.

Thanks In advance!

It sounds like the software license doesn't permit installation on multiple computers. Solution: buy a copy for the other computer.

ahh thats what i figured. Thank you!
I just dont understand why it was always me getting kicked off. Is it because it was installed on the desktop after the laptop?

Was it the Home & Student version of Microsoft Office? If so, you should have 3 licenses. You should be able to find some documentation either on Microsoft's Office website or with a Google search about how to deactivate one license and substitute another.
