I just setup my computer so each person has their own setting.....yada yads yada

but I wanted to share the same itunes playlist, so I kept mine normal and put an alias of my list on the others music folder, well when I launched itunes on the other persons login, I get some permission erroe saying the don't have sufficent privelages to use it?

is there a work around, cause its kinda annoying and itunes is a very important app to me and my family

You need to set the permission on your iTunes folder to let others read from it.

By default, folders in your user directory are as follows:

user: read + write
group: read + write or read-only
everyone (else): none

You need to change it so that "everyone" has read-only access. You can do this by bringing up the Get Info box for the folder and going to "Ownership & Privileges".

I concur with the CPU. A word of caution. to make it easier on your comp, select the folder that contains your music (be sure there are no other files in that folder aside from your music) then select get info as previously described and select the apply to all option
