I'm working on a video installation right now that will need a rather complicated setup. At least more complicated than I thought at first.
I want to build a media server that allows me to display different video clips on different monitors or beamers.
All in all I plan to build exactly this:

now I'm coming to the point of purchasing the single parts and focuse the following problem right now:
which video cards?
I chose a PowerMac G5 as the basic system for this installation.
It has 4 different PCIe Slots:
PCIe x16
PCIe x8
two PCIe x4
Most of the video cards however are PCIe x16.
So...
How to go from here?
