multitasking seems to break exchange mail

Haven't tested with my gmail account yet, but I have 4 exchange accounts set up. If I leave mail running in the background and switch over to it later, it tries and tries but never synchs with the server. If I pull up the multitasking menu, kill mail, then go back into it, it synchs right up.

Anyone else seeing this?
