"18 months contract. There is a limit: 1,400 internet pages per day would break the deal as part of fair usage agreement."

huh? they count how many pages you access, or are they giving that as an example of average bandwidth usage. just cough up the details (in MB) twunt.

How much is 1400 webpages? The O2 dude says that would break the T&C's fair usage policy of the unlimited daily transfer

Which is exactly why I'm not going to buy one. No 3G, v1... limited capacity, bound to have price reductions and price improvements. I'll stick with my current phone for another year or two until things get a bit more reasonable. Looking to cut my tariff anyway from £40 pcm.

Being a first adopter is a mug's game. In my most humblest of opinions, of course. ;)

As shown by the US price drop.

My current O2 contract ends in March. So things should have improved by then.

Yeah, I bet their stats for the average web page are pretty low.

The O2 store is back up

Those tariffs are bunk.

£35 for 200 txts and 200 minutes, a completely crap EDGE signal, on a phone you've had to pay out the full amount for.

Agreed. It's insane to learn that they've not updated the specs too.

What a huge pile of festering bullshyte!

I'd like to pie™ Steve Jobs just for having such irritating answers to everything. What an arrogant ****.

The only people I can see buying this at launch will be the local neds who will buy it with a dodgy credit card and have it hanging round their necks as an ornament, never knowing or understanding what they really possess in the iPhone :D

My usage fits in to the £45 tariff. But I'm under contract with Orange untill January, I'll probably fininsh that and go on PAYG untill they release a 3G one that does MMS.

Erm...

You trying to say the UK iPhone won't do MMS on launch ????

If iPhone does MMS but over slower EDGE or GPRS then it's barely sufficient. If it doesn't do it full stop, then it's unacceptable !

Apple have completely misunderstood the market over here. I had hopes that they would've learned from the US launch and taken into account how the pricing/ network model works across here. Sadly it's just proven that Jobs' arrogance reigns supreme.
