Think this drive would be nice for a cMP's SATA II bays?

10,000 IOPS isn't good but it still runs rings around spinner drives.

The question for me... does it use compression to achieve faster data I/O? If yes, it will be a poor choice for large compressed digital video files which don't much room for additional compression. I learned this lesson the hard way buying the SanDisk Extreme II SSDs instead of the more expensive PRO version, eventually replacing them with Samsung EVO 850 SSDs.

That said... (8x) of these 4TB SSDs in a RAID0 or RAID5 would be pretty awesome.

It seems they will use the SM2246EN controller. Anyone know if this controller speed up by compressing the data?
