After just buying a new album on my Mac and immediately setting the equaliser preset so it is not on ‘none’ (as I always do), I realised this option does not exist on my iPad….. 🤪

There is an option in settings, but it’s global.
How can you set the global setting to say electronic, when some may be Hip Hop or Dance etc….😂

What’s the point of a big list of genres, when most people have a vast mix of music in their library.
 
Are you trying to set EQ presets per album? If so, yeah that doesn’t appear to be a thing. However, music producers tend to strive for a neutral sound across multiple devices so using a preset EQ isn’t really a true reproduction of the music. I guess it can be “fun” but all preset EQs are inferior to setting your own for your environment to whatever curve you’re trying to achieve. A preset for an entire genre is worse than just running none IMO.
