Apple Music Music app - Updating Cloud Music Library

Guys, for some reason over the last few days, when I go into the music app on my MacBook I get the message saying "Updating Cloud Music Library" along with the spinning wheel. What is happening and why? I don't recollect having done anything different at all.

Could be anything from metadata changes to Spatial Audio upgrades.

I'm afraid I have no idea what metadata is. The only thing I did recently on Music was open it to update my iOS.

Apple occasionally makes changes to the artist name, song and album titles, genre etc. If you haven't made any changes it could be at their end.

Wouldn't have thought so. Sadly iCloud library has always been flaky.

And Music Library Tracker has been showing similar changes day after day for me.

Thank you. Thankfully I now have a new laptop due to a fault on the other one. I'm going to see if this issue still persists
