i just got a new phone and am on iOS 11 for the first time.. I loaded my music to the phone and figured out how to access it (and turn off Apple Music), but for some reason none of the music is organized correctly..

When I go to artists it doesn’t show the correct artists, and when I go to albums it shows every single song individually even though they’re grouped into albums on iTunes... no idea what is going on.

iOS 11.2.5 if that helps anything.

Literally all I have for the songs now are Album and Artist (and song titles) and yet they’re all individual as well as the artists coming up differently than they are in iTunes.

Update on this:

I've not reset all settings as well as tried wiping the entire phone and restoring from backup.. nothing works.

I put the music on my phone and 2 things happen

1.) The artist for some reason won't sync into one.. for example: I'm putting a soundtrack onto my phone, which is created by a few different artists.. I'm changing the "Artist" portion to be the the same name, yet all of the original artist names are showing up in my phone even though their info was deleted from the song file..

2.) Every song is being made its own album.. I go into artist and it shows me an album for every individual song, even though they all share the exact same album name.

I've even selected them all and check-marked the box saying that it's a compilation, but they still show up as individual albums for every song.

What in the world is going on? Any ideas?
