you realiize that you also hurt the artists, not only the greedystupidbloodsuckingdumb managers?

Yes, but the greedystupidbloodsuckingdumb managers aren't thinking about the artists either, and it's their JOB to do so.

And anybody who says this isn't about money, but about power is 100% accurate. Other online vendors have been selling songs for less than $0.99 cents per song, and yet they don't get flack from the RIAA.

I wasn't a huge music pirate at all, but I may start. A few months ago I downloaded Metallica's entire music catalogue. I don't like that sort of music at all. :)

The record execs better start making sure that artists come out with GOOD albums, not just a few good songs if they pull the plug. Otherwise I go back to 'not buying'. While the one-hit wonders of today (most of them) have only a few good hits per album, that's all I'll buy.

I have bought quite a few albums on itunes too, but that's an exception not the norm.

One last thing - artists should be rewarded. But they do get a lot of their money from touring - not from album sales (I think). So you d/l their song for free, and then go to their concert, and they still get paid.
