iPod touch Music from ipod to computer?

I am trying to get my music from the ipod touch to my computer. I bought this from kijiji. I don't particular care for the music, but I thought I would back it up anyway. I tried to do this using itunes, but couldn't figure out how. I have also tried using MediaMonkey, but it does not even see the ipod when it is connected. So what do I have to do to get the music of the ipod?

there are programs such as senutil that will do it. or google search "ipod to computer"

Go to itunes, plug in iPod, right-click iPod, then click transfer purchases 🙂
