Hi

Since updating I notice a problem. I tend to my music based on genre, so I select a specific genre and select shuffle at the top.

Since the update it shows "loading" at the bottom and it never loads. There is no problem with any of my songs, I didn't move any of them, I synchronised multiple times, I've resetted the device, nothing.
I just noticed this is also when there is only one song of that particular genre, so I honestly don't know what is going on.

Selecting all songs and then shuffle, that works, but I need it to work again by genre.

Can't seem to find anything about this issue on the internet.

Anyone? This is annoying as hell.

And I can't ask this question on Apple Discussions because I get the error "too many redirects".

Honestly Apple, get your **** together or I'm out.

I’m not having he issue you describe. Shuffle works just as expected in Genres. Tested genres with many songs/artists/albums all the way to a genre with literally one song. Zero issue.

Make sure that the songs are intact still located on your devices. Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Music

I think I figured out the problem. When there is something (even just a letter) in the album id3 tag of the songs of the specific genre, shuffle works like it should. But when there is nothing in it, it doesn't.

The solution looks simple, but not for me. I have my id3 tags always as they should be and no excess info in it. So it's just the title, artist and the genre. If there would be just a letter in the album tag, I would be more frustrated.

And it's just not a solution, this should work even without anything in the album, like it used too.

I hope I accidentally drop my phone so that it's broken and can buy an android one, I've had it with Apple.
