I am on 10.6.8 with all software updated. I am playing music that I ripped from my CDs to Apple Lossless. I checked Activity Monitor and the CPU activity is low, nothing overly taxing. After hearing a skip, I dragged the playhead back, and on re-play there's no skipping. I don't recall skipping ever occurring when I played music on iTunes before. A bug in the new version of iTunes?

Additional info: I was downloading on iTunes, but then again I am pretty sure at one point I was only surfing the internet on Safari while listening to Apple Lossless format music. So downloading while listening would cause the skipping since it's accessing HDD at the same time, but just surfing shouldn't cause the skipping, correct? And if I had a SSD downloading and listening to iTunes that wouldn't cause any skipping since a SSD is much faster than a HDD, correct?
