Apple philosophy is, "our business is ours (or we'll sue the pants off you); your business is ours (or soon will be)."

Apple you have gotta be kidding me! Where the hell is iTunes 11? I wouldn't cared so much if the "Coming in October" teaser was not there on the iTunes website.
I think I have miss something. iTunes 11 is better than the one we have now? Is it going to be a pandora like?

I'd rather have Spotify versus Pandora. I don't need a radio station, I just don't want to buy music anymore.

Hopefully this is a Spotify premium-like service, not a radio service. I want to pay $10 or $15 a month and have unlimited playing and downloads on all my iDevices... even my iPod mini, classic, nano, and shuffle. Surely Apple can make that happen for me.

What I want is a $20 a month unlimited Spotify, including foreign songs. Bring it on and take my money!
How is it limited now? Is it different for different countries? I have unrestricted ad-free access through Spotify Premium and I'm paying zilch... it was a freebie that came with my $29/month iPhone plan.

Holy crap. $20/month... no thanks. I'll stick with my $4/mo. pandora.

I hope apple has an offering that's not priced as relative as the new iPad mini.

If this is true, I hope Apple won't take long rolling the service out to us Irish people. We don't have Pandora, Rdio or Spotify so having a service like this that integrates well with the Mac and iOS devices would be really awesome.

To use Pandora outside USA u may use Proxy servers.
UltraSurf (Windows Only I thing)
HotSpot Shield (Windows/Apple iOs/Android?)

It works for my laptop and iPhone as well ;)

Pandora it's a great radio service, even better than Spotify (IMHO).
I prefer to discover new good music as Pandora does.

I prefer if Pandora may keeps working it self for long time, It's simpe and works very good, Apple could create a very nice, beautiful, and slim crappy service...

Actually Pandora works in every device, if Apple moves probably the New Pandora will be blocked outside USA and outside iOS/OS X... :(

Apple makes the difference in the best and the worst...

You've made a good case for higher quality downloads, but as you noted, it's probably those large file sizes, that have given APPLE reason for pause. I found this website for you: http://highresolutiontechnologies.com/music-streamer-ii-plus It sounds promising, and has great reviews. I'm checking into it myself as well.

Thanks for that, I'll look into it. You might be interested to hear about something else. I was watching Letterman a few weeks ago and Neil Young was on. He has developed an alternative to the iPod. A new device (and presumably there will be an iTunes like store with it) to play 24 bit audio. I've posted the YouTube link below - the interesting part is at 4.40. I know it's not ideal as it means coming out of iTunes but who knows maybe if it takes off Apple will follow.

Re: Why?

Why would they cave to Apple's demands when the already have Pandora paying a HIGHER rate and having limits put on them.

Because Apple is betting that their service will be more popular than Pandora.

Hopefully there will be an offline mode for this new service... The one thing I dislike about Spotify is that I have no way to listen to it if I'm in an area with spotty data. Same thing with iTunes Match... So I currently keep about 20gb of music on my iPhone for typical listening.
