Music players have static

anyone experience this?
my music players started having static come out of the speakers along with the music, even when playing a good factory CD, also when playing from music libraries

yet web music is fine ... crystal clear

Help :]
 
Clean the laser lens in the optical drive with a commercial cleaner CD, see if that improves things.
