Does anybody make music with their Macbook?
And does it hold up well?

The big reason I even own a Mac is to use Garageband, and record music with.
I'm going from a 17" uMBP down to a Unibody Macbook (The screen size difference is fine, honestly. the only thing I do with my laptop is make music on it, I don't need the giant screen nor the power.)
But, that's the thing. Does the Macbook hold up well with music making?
I mean, I wouldn't expect it to be that harsh on the CPU or RAM or whatever, not like a video game. I can easily just go for the 13" MBP if the Macbook will give me problems with recording music. The thing about the Macbook is, I love how the plastic looks, and I really like the screen. And it's the cheapest of their laptops.
But will it hold up for my needs? (mostly using GarageBand)
I know it wouldn't hold up for playing some crazy games, but that's not what I'm after. Mostly just a portable notebook of my music, and to be able to handle me recording my music on.)

Thanks.

really?
i mean no more than 10 usually.
and that's only to keep things organized.

would that be a problem?

i mean, i didn't think the macbook was a super strong computer,
but i didn't think of it being really weak to only be able to do casual browsing either.
i mean i would assume garage band to be a really simple thing to handle.
even if at most.

It holds up awesome. I record music on here all the time and I've put at most say 15 tracks... you should have no problem at all. I've also used a lot of effects etc on it and it plays fine. Sometimes it might pause because it says theres too much to process, but just hit play again and it's fine.
