I know there isn't any multi-tasking with the iPad and it doesn't bother me but I wanted to double check. That means you can't listen to music while using Safari, correct? That makes a deciding factor to get the 16GB or 32GB. At first I was gonna get the 32GB so I could fit my whole iTunes music collection on there but I got to thinking if I can't listen to music while doing other stuff there is no reason. I already have a 32GB iPod Touch so I can just use that. Thanks.

Yes you can listen to music while browsing Safari. "No multitasking" is a bit misleading, it's more like "very limited multitasking of certain selective functions." Playing music in the background is one of the few select multitasking functions available.

Well crap that changes things then, I'd like to have the 32GB one but at the same time I didn't really want to spend $100 more. Hmmm, what to do, what to do.

It will work in the same way that your iPod touch works.

    No multitasking is misleading.

This only means that 3rd party apps are not allowed to multitask. All Apple shipped apps can multitask just fine.

At some point in the near future there is very likely to be expanded multitasking support for 3rd party apps.

You can listen to the iPod app and browse the web or use another app, you can stream a podcast from the iTunes app while you browse or do something else and you can stream something in Safari while you use another app.

You can use Safari to listen to a live stream and use another app (Google, Bing or any other app with a browser) to browse the web at the same time. There are lots of ways to multitask on the iPhone despite what some people think.
