The band The Anix shot this music video using nothing but an iPhone 4. Edited the footage on a MacBook Pro. Not bad for a smartphone!

The video quality is very impressive, but that director/editor (which I bet $100 is the same person) is trying way too hard to make the video as cool as possible. Thus fast cuts and digitally created pans, so much so that it can be hard to judge what the video quality looks like at times because its moving so fast 😛

Definitely a smart move by the band. I see www.everythingicafe.com just blogged about their music video. I wouldn't be surprised if the video ends up on Engadget and Gizmodo as well. Then the hitcount on the video will really go through the roof. Had they filmed it with a DSLR like the Canon 5D Mark II or 7D, their music video wouldn't be getting much attention.
