I used Frostwire to download music on my PC. Is there a safe alternative application to download music on my MBP? Frostwire was shut down apparently, but I thought it didn't help my PCs lifespan any anyway.

Frostwire appears to be BitTorrent client and there are many for OS X. I use Transmission but µTorrent is also popular.

    However,

    From the Forum Rules:

So discussion of sources to obtain music illegally (such as torrent sites) is not allowed.

iTunes works for me, too. Amazon might be a possible alternative. I know, not the desired answers.
