I'm a Google Apps customer, and have had the email for my business domain name hosted there for a long time. Since the advent of iCloud I've since moved my contacts and calendars over from Google, but not e-mail. I'm not going to change my well-established business email address (of over a decade).
What would get me to move would be were Apple to offer a service similar to Google's: allow me to use my existing email address and just host the mail on their servers. A ton of storage space would be needed, of course, because I have years of business email traffic archived (for ready search regardless of from which platform).
I'm not itching to dump Google Apps, though I'd not mind ceasing to pay the annual subscription fee. It would, however, be somewhat "tidy" were I to again have all of my "cloud" info services under one tent.
Hence the speculation: has any rumor maven here caught wind of any such possibility in Apple's future plans? I'd be interested in knowing about it, if so.
