Mute Apple Pay "Bing"

How can I stop sounds when using apple watch pay to purchase something at the cashier?
I don't like the confirmation sound. I want it to vibrate.

I'm also quite sure that it was different some time ago. Maybe they changed it with watchOS 7 - and it's still the same in watchOS 8 beta.

Nope. I always keep my watch and phone fully muted, and my watch still dings when I use Apple Pay with it.
