Muting Sound in Some Applications...

My sister enjoys playing games (online and downloaded) on the family iMac that is in a sociable area.

We like (as a family) to have music playing but it is really irritating having the game music aswell! Is there a way to mute safari?

unfortunately I already know this and it is mainly the internet games that are the problem! Things like Club Penguin!
